This article discusses linguomethodical approaches to developing phraseological competence among students of non-linguistic universities studying the Russian language. Phraseological competence, as an important part of language proficiency, encompasses the knowledge, understanding, and active use of phraseological units in various communication contexts. The article examines the basic methodological principles, strategies, and teaching methods aimed at developing students' skills in working with phraseological expressions. Contextual, communicative, cognitive, and interactive approaches to teaching phraseology are analyzed, as well as effective techniques for working with phraseological units. The article also describes the stages of forming phraseological competence and the role of the teacher in this process. In conclusion, the results of the research are summarized, and prospects for further studies in the field of developing phraseological competence among students of non-linguistic universities are outlined.
