SCIENTIFIC THEORETICAL BASES OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOURISM AND DIVERSIFICATION OF THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY

The interplay between tourism development and economic diversification is a critical area of study within the broader context of national economic strategies. This research explores the scientific theoretical foundations that underpin the relationship between these two domains, emphasizing how tourism can serve as a catalyst for economic diversification in various countries. The study begins by reviewing existing literature on tourism’s role in enhancing economic resilience, particularly in developing nations where reliance on a single industry can lead to vulnerability.
Key theories such as the Economic Base Theory and the Tourism Area Life Cycle Model are examined to understand how tourism can stimulate local economies through job creation, infrastructure development, and increased foreign exchange earnings. Furthermore, this research highlights case studies from diverse geographical contexts, illustrating successful models of integrating tourism into broader economic frameworks.
The findings suggest that effective policy frameworks and strategic planning are essential for maximizing the benefits of tourism while minimizing potential negative impacts such as environmental degradation and cultural erosion. Additionally, the role of technology and innovation in enhancing tourist experiences and operational efficiencies is discussed, providing insights into future trends that could shape the industry.
