Abstract

Human impacts should be adequately considered in water resource use and natural hazard mitigation planning. Meanwhile, water resources in Central Asia are increasingly under stress, as downstream countries are highly dependent on upstream countries. This paper aims to comprehensively assess the impact of human activities on water resources, addressing key aspects such as pollution, overextraction and habitat degradation.
