Abstract

This research investigates the impact of direct investments in Asian countries on their state economies, focusing on data from 2022 to 2024. In 2022, foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Asia reached approximately $600 billion, representing a 10% increase from the previous year, with China and India being the largest recipients, attracting $200 billion and $80 billion respectively. By 2023, FDI is projected to grow by an additional 5%, driven by sectors such as technology and renewable energy, contributing significantly to GDP growth rates across the region; for instance, Southeast Asian nations are expected to see GDP growth rates of around 4.5% due to increased investment in infrastructure and manufacturing.
